Hello Fabs, Goodmorning.
This is another selection from my emails that get sent to me by readers once in a while, and I must say this story touched me the most when I read it. It's a common story that I am sure some people women and men included are going through. I always like to share stories that I believe people will get moved by and learn from. So read on to get the full gist...

"Hi My name is Amina from Abuja, I am 31yrs old and I have 3 children for my husband. I am the youngest wife of my husband as he has 2 wives that came before me. Alhaji (my husband) is a very successful civil servant and he met me as a young girl in my early twenties.
At first I wasn't sure who or from where I got the HIV infection but I realized that I got infected by my husband's friend who I have had a relationship with now for the past 3years. There is no excuse because I know that in our culture and religion ADULTERY IS A BIG TABOO.
I decided to go get tested, when I kept falling sick with cold and I was weak all the time. I found out that I had HIV just TWO MONTHS AGO!!! I was in complete shock and became secluded for a whole month while I tried to understand how it happened. Infact I AM STILL IN SHOCK AND DISBELIEF.
When I told my husband's friend whom I had been sleeping with for years he confessed to me in tears that he KNEW HE HAD HIV BUT NEVER TOLD ANYONE, BECAUSE HE ENGAGED IN HOMOSEXUAL ACTS IN THE PAST WITHOUT PROTECTION, so he figured thats how he got the infection. This man who I thought was clean has given he this DEATH SENTENCE.
Once I realized that I had gotten the HIV disease I started to avoid sex with my husband but I realized it was too late. Now when we have sex which is always without protection, I cry in my heart because AFTER SLEEPING WITH ME, THE NEXT DAY HE SLEEPS WITH THE OTHER WIVES.
Oh My God!! I know I am a killer and I deserve to go to hell for this, but IF I CONFESS, I WILL HAVE TO EXPLAIN HOW I GOT THE INFECTION AND THEN BY LAW THEY MIGHT KILL ME.
I don't know what to do, I am sooo confused, I can't even be around my own children, everyone thinks I am going mental by my recent behaviors but I don't know how to tell them my secret.
Every day I pray to Allah to wake me up from this dream. Please what do I do??"- Amina
Hmm AIDS is REAL!!
Ok guys, this story breaks my heart. Comments?

TOP 10 REASONS YOU HAVEN'T MET MR. RIGHT
Happy New Week People!!
OK! This is for the ladies. I have compiled a list of things/reasons why some of us are still single and searching, in a world where there are plenty of single men looking for a wifey. These are not my ideas or words but rather from different relatioship experts...so have fun as your read. And I must say, I do agree with most of them.
1) YOU LOOK FOR YOUR “IDEAL” MAN (WHO DOESN'T EXIST ON THE PLANET)
You tend to overanalyze any man based on what you desire in a man. For example, he must ride in a luxury car, own a house, and work a corporate level job and be six-foot tall with a perfect body. OMG, time to get rid of the impossible checklist. Standards are fine, but they should be realistic.
2)THERE IS A SURPLUS OF UN-DATEABLE MEN
After much digging, we find ourselves in a rut. There are no decent black men accounted for other than those in the undateable category – players, cheaters, or the discreet ones. It’s a lost cause.
3) YOU TAKE TOO MUCH ADVICE FROM OTHER PEOPLE
Close friends, confidants, or business associates are not always the best advisors. In fact, taking the wrong advice from them can cripple your chances of ever finding someone who fits you. You have authoritative control over your relationships, so take charge by trusting your instincts first.
4) YOU TRY TO BE “THE MAN” AND “THE WOMAN” IN THE RELATIONSHIP
Every man and woman has his or her own unique traits. You’re the hard worker maybe, and he’s really great with selecting art for the home. Don’t overstep your boundaries into his territory because he may interpret that as haughty behavior. If a man can profess, provide, and protect you in the ways you need, then don’t make it a habit to take control of the driver’s seat.
5) YOU HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE
Ladies, its important that we keep a tab on our attitudes. If you had a bad day at work or have a chip on your shoulder, let those emotions subside because it can come out when he least expects it. And that could cost you a potential mate or relationship.
6) YOU HAVE LOW SELF-ESTEEM
Poor self-image is seen as a negative attribute to a person, let alone a man who is eager for your affection and attention. Embrace your womanhood to portray a positive image. Communication, good posture, and personality are must-haves in a guy’s book.
7) YOU DENY HIS COMPLIMENTS
If he comments on your hair, lips or body, then don’t turn him down. It can be perceived as low-self esteem. A man who is interested will show his affection by courting you or being generous. Treat him the way you ought to be treated, and accept his interest in you.
8) YOU’RE TOO NEEDY
Never let a man know how you feel early in the game. If the playing field is new, you want to remain as neutral and unpredictable as possible to make it more interesting. If you’re beautiful or have a great character, breathing down his back every five minutes doesnt guarantee your staying power in the relationship.
9) YOU HIDE YOUR NATURAL BEAUTY
Yes! Men are visual creatures and they will admire your beauty from a mile away. Fake attributes all the time are a sign that you’re not comfortable with your natural beauty. If you’re so quick to cover up everything about you, then what’s the point of him getting to know the real you?
10) YOU FORCE HIM INTO A RELATIONSHIP OR MARRIAGE TOO SOON
If he isn’t ready to be in a committed relationship or marriage, then don’t force it! A good man will be honest about his feelings for you and if he is ready to take things to the next level. He is very clear about that, but you have to trust it’s the right relationship for you as well.

Omosede Igbinedion's Marriage Crashes 2yrs After!!!
The two-year-old marriage between the daughter of business mogul, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, Gabriella Omosede and a Benin Prince, Aven Akenzua, has crumbled.
Residents of Edoyaye Avenue off Osawe Street, Etete, GRA, Benin City, were some weeks back thrown into panic when armed mobile policemen, said to be acting on the order of the Esama stormed the palatial mansion of his in-law (Aven) in two lorries to evacuate his daughter’s belongings.
Aven, is a son to Enogie Uyieken Akenzua, the younger brother of the Oba of Benin, His Royal Highness, Oba Erediauwa and had against the wish of the Benin palace forged ahead and got wedded to Omosede, the eldest daughter of Lady Cherry Igbinedion.
The marriage produced a baby boy in 2009 and was widely celebrated by the house of Igbinedion in a grand style.
Although the reason for the separation is being kept as a top secret, a palace source who craved anonymity said the marriage probably crashed on the ground that the ancestors as epitomised by the Oba of Benin never gave their support and blessings as required by Benin tradition.
In what appeared to be a total disregard to the apparently disapproval of the Benin monarch to the marriage, Chief Igbinedion and Enogie Uyieken gave their son and daughter in an uncommon colourful royal traditional/church wedding on December 31, 2008 and January 5, 2009 respectively.
Consequently, the marriage was said to have triggered unprecedented vexation in Benin Kingdom as Oba Erediauwa eventually drew a battle line against his younger brother for daring to discard his advice.
The travails of Igbinediion, who has since been stripped of his Esama title by the Benin Traditional Council, started when without recourse to the Benin monarch, the traditional custodian of beads, single handedly gave out traditional beads to JP Patterson, former Prime Minister of Jamaica and co-visiting Aghantehene of Kumasi.
Igbinedion has since been declared “Oghion Oba” (Enemy of the Oba).
“The Royal Family and indeed all Binis are opposed to their sons or daughters marrying into the family of “Oghion Oba” Enogie Uyiekpen knows this. He was advised to postponed the engagement until Chief Igbinedion is granted pardon, Enogie Uyiekpen was aware that Chief Igbinedion plea for forgiveness is at present before the Omo N’Oba, but he ignored the advice for reason best known to him which made the family to snub the marriage,” a source said.
Tagged, ‘Marriage of reconciliation’ by Igbinedion, the union never ushered in the much-expected cordial relationship between the Benin palace and Igbinedion and was seen by many highly-placed Binis as an embarrassment to the esteemed Benin monarch.

RADIO HOST 'MATSE' IS FIERCE ON THE COVER OF TW.
Wazobia FM Radio Personality, popularly known as Matse is gracing the cover of TW magazine for its September issue. In it, she talks about her life, family background and upbringing as well as her political ambition. Matse had a chat over with the folks at TW to talk about her passion for Women's right and empowerment.
This is a fabulous cover and I'm very surprised to find out that Matse is a young and fly Naija chick after all and not the old fat lady we all thought she was (lol...common I know I wasn't the only one that thought that). Hmmm...

FASHION OFFENDERS n COMMANDERS.
Hello guys!
I took a long break over the long Sallah weekend so I was unable to feed y'all with the daily NYF news and briefs. My apologies! Well I have compiled a list of a few fashion pictures from different events over the past few weeks and I have rounded up a few of the Fashion Offenders and those that Commanded the floor in their gear.
So here goes...
PLEASE LADIES THIS IS A NO-NO!!!
Everything is wrong with this outfit! from head to toe, nothing is working. Model Biola Boris should know better than to come out looking like she just stepped out of bed and grabbed her 5yr old sister's clothes.
AND THE SHOES!!! I utilize my right to keep quiet.
Ok Gals! I get it, we all wanna show a little skin and the legs are the easiest way to go without looking trashy. But here's the truth, Minis are nice but no one said you should turn a blouse or a tunic into a dress. No its not an excuse. Its a classic No-No!!!
THE FASHION VICTORS...
Ms Briggs looks comfy cute. Although her shoulders and legs are exposed, she still manages to ooze class as only a little is revealed. The length is appropriate and everything just works well together.
This is a fashion victory and the phrase 'Less if More' comes to very good use here. Moka doesn't obstruct her busy (print) dress with lots of accessory, she toned it down nicely with studded earrings and a cocktail ring. Glam!

STYLEZ: NTFS SHOWCASES NEW DESIGNS AND DESIGNERS.
Hello Fabs!
The Nigerian Television Fashion (NTFS) show went down last Sunday at the Federal Palace Hotel in front of guests vying for the latest trends in Ankara and other African fabrics. NTFS is a monthly event to showcase established and up-coming designers and thier new designs for each season. This is a fabulous event as it exposes underground fashionistas to the high-brow Lagos society. So if you are looking for nice styles for a fabric or that Aso-Oke of yours, I advice you watch out for new NTFS shows every month.
FASHION 4 LADIES...
The Ladies designs were a bit mediocre for me, I felt that the designers could have been a little more creative and daring but nonetheless it was a good effort.
FASHION FOR THE FELLAS...
The men's outfit was my favorite section of the night, the guys came out looking dapper, fresh and clean cut. The models appeared professional and looked like they were perfectly selected to don each outfit. AWESOME!!!!
Looked like the event was a successful one overall. Hm!
