NEWS EXTRA: D'BANJ FEUDING WITH GLO?!?!?!

Word on the street is that Dayo Oyebanjo, popularly as D’banj might soon experience a huge cut to his multimillion naira a year income.
It is believed that he might not get signed on as a Glo-Ambassador because of he’s many ‘inconsiderate’ demands and breach of contracts.
*looks like someone is being a diva*
D’banj’s 2yr contract which expired in April is yet to be renewed and with the way things are going, the chances of a renewal doesn’t look too promising.
While other artists and entertainment personalities such as P-Square, had renewed their various contracts with Globacom, that of Dbanj was left, leaving us with questions as to why.
In 2008, D‘banj was signed on as a Globacom ambassador in a deal worth N70m and got a branded SUV estimated at N15m. As the headlining act during the company’s Rock and Rule tour of Nigerian cities then, he got N2m per show and was signed on for 18 cities. Reports said he got his money upfront.

However, maybe due to bad management and advice, or simply a show of exuberance, D’banj thought it best to write a letter of complaint asking that his contract be re-evaluated as he wanted his current pay doubled making him earn N4m per show. This request riled the executives at Glo and they ordered that his ambassadorship status be revoked.
. In February 2009, the 30-year-old music star temporarily ceased to be a Glo ambassador and was barred from performing at the Rock and Rule Tour, notwithstanding that he had been paid. The company went ahead to substitute him with P-Square and 9ice.
Seeing as Glo was one of his high source of income, he decided to take a step back to retract his actions, he decided to humble himself. (Good Idea)
But I guess that didn’t last long as...a little birdie put it,”Shortly after he was reinstated, D‘banj started defaulting on his ‘deliverables‘. He would shun events while other ambassadors would be there. Even the few he attended, the company had to go ferry him from his Maryland (Lagos) home...
This was somebody who was given a car for the singular purpose of bringing him to events. The painful part was that whenever his presence was required, reaching him was a huge problem because he never used the Glo line he was given, preferring to stick to randomly changing lines.”
I guess Chief Adenuga(CEO GLO) became fed up with the ‘Coco Master’ because right now, he’s been left behind and replaced by pop-twins P-Square.

Damn Shame!
